Day 5- Dodoj

From Tuzla to Dodoj. First we went  to Dodoj Fortress. It was a pretty long climb up a  hill before we got there but wow was it worth it. The Fortress is an amazing building that was enhanced in the 13th century by the Bosnian aristocracy Kotromanic. This building is more then eight centuries old is more then just a spectacular view. It is a beautiful building that can not be compared to anything I have seen so far.
Then we went to a monastery that was build in the  13th century. The St. Nichola’s Monastery. Its near Petrovo. The monastery is the best known in the city. It has raw beauty from were the stones are not cleany cut or polished. The stairs that lead up to the monastery are uneven and curved showing how pain staking it was to build them without the technology we have today.
Finally we went to the lake thats about five miles out from the city. Unlike Tazula this lake is fresh water and not as crowded. There we went swimming again and then after we dried off headed back toward town for dinner.
As we wondered around the streets looking for a place to eat we quickly realized there wasnt one so we decided on getting stuff from a store and making sandwiches in our hotel rooms.
Tonight were staying in the Hotel Integra. Its a quaint little place with great service and plenty of hot water for showers. Score one for the American tourists.
