Day 2- Mostar.

We woke up this morning and after a quick breakfast at the hotel we went and rented a car to get from Sarajevo to Mostar. It was a pretty long ride but we still made it there before the day had completely started. We started off by going to another Mosque were this time it was also 4 Euros to get in but for another 8 we could climb all 99 stairs to the top of the minaret. When we reached the top it was beautiful. The Minaret looks right out onto the city. It was awesome to be up there but after a while you realize how high up you are and it gets kinda scary.
So after that we just started walking around looking for adventure or anything interesting and found a small bridge. When we asked a local what it was she explained that it was the crooked bridge. It was like the little sister to the Old Bridge of Mostar. It was interesting to hear this bit of information but we never did understand why it was called the crooked bridge when it looked perfectly straight. About this time we were all starting to get hungry so we set out looking for a restaurant. We found the Bella Vista were I had chicken kabobs and coffee which was very good and it was fun to eat while looking out over the river. After relaxing for a while we started out again for the Saint Peter and Paul Monastary. Its a beautiful building full of intricate detail work carved into the stone ceiling, walls, and pillars. Everything there looks so simple until you look closer. The real beauty of everything is hidden inside the plainness of the stone.

After such a long day we took the car to the hotel " Villa Anri." It felt so good to be able to shower and finely get some sleep after such a long day.
