Christmas and Education System Notes

Botswana-Faith1.)People stay awake night long
2.)They trade presents after midnight.
3.)Two diffrent types of education.

Zambia-Gunnar
1.)Many places show navity scenes during christmas
2.)On Christmas day children are encouraged to take pressents to .the church for less fortunate kids.
3.)Greece has two stages of education.

Costa Rica-Dale
1.) They are mostly catholic
2.) Go to church on Christmas.
3.)They have more teachers then police officers.

Norway-Brazil-Mark
1.)Hang colored paper on the tree.
2.)There is a gift bearing gnome or elf that children take porridge to.
3.) In Brazil higher education is bu tyou have to pass an enterary examine.

Romania-England-John
1.) Goat is the groundhog.
2.) They starts celbrating Dec. 24 and end it Jan. 7.
3.)School in England is free from ages 5 to 16.

2.) They give to charity more
3.)Fast from sunrise to sunset

1.) People start partying a month before Christmas
2.) People host feasts of the evening of Christmas

2.)Brazilians use flowers from their gardens to decorate for the holiday.
3.) They attend primary school in england for seven years.

Austrailia-Peru-Courtney
1.)decorate Christmas tree
2.) Have partys on the beach
3.)Peru school system is similar to that of the U.S.

Philippines-Honduras-Hannah G.
1.)Decorate their homes with lanterns and streamser.
2.) Christmas cards illustrate scenes from the Philippines.
3.)About half of the people that enroll in a Honduras school finish their studys.

Ireland-Gabby
1.) Have three levels of education
2.)Must write a play, produce a magazine, or do charity work to graduate.
3.)Chirstmas lasts from Dec. 24 to Jan. 6.

Bolivia-Mexic-Abby
1.)Christmas is very religious.
2.) A special Mass is held at midnight on Christams Eve and can last early in the morning.
3.)Mexico has four levels of education.

Thailand-Viola
1.)There is no snow in Thailand for Christmas.
2.) Most of Thailand is Buddist so Christmas is not really considered Christmas there.
3.)In Thailand there are 6years of primary education and 6 years of secondary education.

1.) Christmas is celebrate twice a year.
2.) Santa is know as Father Christmas .
3.)School costs range from $100 to $500
